Tell us about yourself: Hi, I am ”Aaronman” or when I am in trouble, Aaron Hewitt. I was kindly gifted this Aaronman tag about a year or so ago from some of the younger squad members and its has just stuck. I have been involved in all different kinds of sports at varying levels since I was a boy but more specifically I have been competing in triathlons on and off for about 7 years now with the last 2014 being my most serious year.
I love everything to do with triathlons: Training, Racing, Travel, Friendships, Competition and so on. I love passing on my knowledge to newbies and I love absorbing information of those more experience. I compete in triathlons because I enjoy the individualism relating to the effort put in is a direct reflection on the results achieved, yet the sport is one massive family where everyone supports and encourages one another to go beyond what sometimes seems impossibly human.
Outside of this grand sport, I work full time in the family plumbing business. I also love to cook, travel, eat, drink, spend time with family and friends and pretty much anything that can be done outdoors.
2015 will see me focus my time towards racing at the Ironman 70.3 World Champions in Austria. I am super excited that I have been able to team up with Hydralyte Sports for the coming year. Remember to always #hydratewithHydralyte
